He will be greatly missed by everyone. He was a great guy with a wonderful personality and attitude. I looked forward to seeing him everyday at CGI FOODS. He always had a way of making you smile no matter how bad a day you were having. My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time of morning. May God guide you through the next few days, weeks, and months.

Karon, Teresa & Kayla we are so sorry for your loss. I was set back when I read about Sam this afternoon. I met Sam when I worked at HyVee in Mt Ayr. He was always quick witted and kept me on my toes. He could make us laugh very easily. Of course we had to give him a rough time too, which he loved! He became friends with my husband Gary and would come over and have a coffee with him off and on in Diagonal. I had Sam's birthday on my calendar so I could give him a call on Friday too. Sam was always concerned about Gary and his health and kept up with us even as we moved up to Marshalltown. Sam is was a very thoughtful and caring person. He will be missed. Thoughts and prayers.
