Ronald Lee Mobley, youngest son of Burl & Martena (Vanderpluym) Mobley, was born on February 28, 1951 at Creston Communtiy Hospital. Ron was welcomed into the family by his older brother, Glee. Ron spent his childhood on the family farm near Benton, Iowa. He attended Mount Ayr High School and graduated with the class of 1969. While in school, Ron enjoyed playing football, baseball and riding horses.
On January 23, 1971, Ron was united in marriage to Sue Siverly at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Maloy, Iowa. Ron & Sue made their home just south of the "Goose Pond Corner" and raised 3 children: Greg and twins Brian & Marci. Ron farmed and took care of the land his entire life. He formed Mobley Construction in the 1980's. Ron and his sons worked side by side digging ponds, building terraces, and clearing trees in Ringgold County and the surrounding area.
Family was the center of Ron's life. He loved spending time with his brother, his children and 5 wonderful granddaughters. Ron enjoyed crop touring, horses and hunting. Many snowy days were spent running his coyote hounds. Ron always took the time to sit and visit with family and friends. His ability to talk to anyone about anything led to many lifelong friends.
Ron passed away on June 5, 2018 at the Ringgold County Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents; Burl and Martena Mobley and son-in-law, Garry Bjustrom.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Sue, of 47 years; children
Greg (Amy) of Maloy, Marci Bjustrom of Benton, Brian of Benton, grandchildren Madison, Emma, and Gracie Mobley of Maloy, Ashton and Alyssa Johnson of Benton, brother Glee of Benton, parents-in-law Fred and Virginia Siverly of Clearfield, brothers and sisters-in-law; Nancy (Ron) Brown of Clearfield, Ken (Karen) Siverly of Kearney, MO, Martha (Lewis) Larson of Clearfield and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Sorry to hear about Ron . I remember playing with Ron & Glee when we were kids and I stayed with their Uncle Denzel during the summer months on the farm. That was a long time ago, but I think Ron & glee both remember those good times. God be with you & family.

My heartfelt condolences to Sue and Family on the passing of Ron. Occasionally I conversed with Ron in the fall when I visited the area. Seems like we always talked about farming, his dogs and especially the deer, quail and pheasants that lived and roamed his property. I will truly miss that. A thankful friend from Wisconsin.

We look forward to seeing Ron alive again in the resurrection. Jesus promised, "Do not be amazed at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out to a resurrection." John 5:28, 29

So sorry to hear of Ron's death. We lived just down the road and Ronnie and the rest of the Mobley family were a big part of my growing up years. He and Glee were a big help to my dad when he scaled back his farming.

I was so saddened to hear of Ron's passing. We had so many good times when he came to see us 3 times a week for dialysis - I always enjoyed visiting with him about so many subjects. I will miss him. Pam Straight

I am sorry and to hear of Ron's passing. We grew playing as kids, then later played baseball at Benton with Ronnie and Glee. Burl and Martina and the boy's were long time friends of our family. Our thought's are with Glee and Ron's family.
