Helen, and family:
our whole family express our sincere sympathy to you all, Ray was our friend and former feed dealer at Syracuse, when our family still was in the SPF Hog business, He and Helen were such good dancers and we enjoyed playing many a card game with them when they lived in Nebraska. He will be missed by our whole family and fondly remembered. Sincerely, Irma Kreifels and family.

Sorry to hear about Short''s passing. When I was growing up I looked up to Shorty and Bw. The Umbarger dinners were quite a treat. They could put more food on a plate and then cover it with whip cream.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. My mother was Anna Umbarger.

Dave, Patty, & family

There are so many fond memories of your Dad to pick and choose from to share but all are of him with his laughter, that infectious smile and the twinkle in his eyes. I adored him for his joys and admired him for his badge of courage he wore within his brave heart.

With sympathy and in love our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

To Patty, Dave, and the rest of the Umbargers,

So many of us will feel the loss, having never known a world without Shorty in it.
To me he was the original "fun uncle" that every family needs to be complete.
We carry on and remember.

From a Rinehart cousin--Enjoyed Shorty at the Rinehart gatherings. He had a good sense of humor and seemed to enjoy every minute. What a nice memory to leave. God''s blessing.

To Shorty''s children and grandchildren,
I am one of Shorty''s Cousins. My mother, Carol Underwood and Shorty''s mother were sisters. Even so my mother (born in 1922) and Shorty were near the same age. I loved hearing the stories of their childhood and listening to them reminisce when they were together. No matter, if family reunion or just a drop by visit, there was always a lot of laughter when Shorty was around. You could always count on Shorty to bring a covered dish to a family dinner. The dish would be empty, but it would be covered. His infectious laugh, his love and concern will be so missed.
