Mildred Peterson

Mildred Frances Peterson was born April 5, 1929 in Union County, Iowa, and passed away December 10, 2017 at the Clearview Home in Mount Ayr at the age of 88 years and 8 months.

She was a caregiver to whom ever needed her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Clifford Peterson; brothers Vernon, Lyle, James, Forrest and Elbert.

Left to cherish her memory include, daughter Linda (Myron) Tilk of Osceola; son Joe (Michelle) Peterson of Osceola; four grandchildren Carmen (Kenneth) Norwood of St. Louis, Mo., Chris Carrico of Mason City, Alana Carrico of Osceola, Tabby Welcher and Brandon Alderson both of Joy, Ill.; four great-grandchildren Cory (fiancé Amy) Howard of Center Point, Jazylin Norwood and Breonna Norwood both of St. Louis, Mo., Skyler Carrico and Ryan Thomas both of Osceola, Amriel Alderson of Joy, Ill.; three great-great-grandchildren Lilly, Travis and Dallas Howard all of Center Point; sister Margie Perkins of Grimes; sisters-in-law Doris Todd of Mount Ayr, Leota James of Murray and Leona Holland of Osceola; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

I remember Millie and her family coming to Uncle Roy's and Aunt Lela's on Sunday afternoons always full of laughter. I also remember, my Dad saying she canned the best 'darn' pears of anyone he knew. Take comfort in knowing she is always with you, in your thoughts, memories and your prayers.
