Louise Ann Sackett

Louise Ann (Burchett) Sackett was born December 31, 1942, in Leon, Iowa, to William Allen and Inez Mary (Jones) Burchett. She grew up in Ringgold County and graduated from Mount Ayr High School in 1961.

On September 23, 1961, Louise was united in marriage to Larry Joe Sackett at the First Christian Church in Mount Ayr. To this union two children were born, Randy Joe and Laurie Suzanne. Louise and Larry made their home in Des Moines for many years. Louise retired from Wells Fargo, after more than 25 years of service in the Trust department. Louise and Larry have spent their retirement years at Sun Valley Lake in Ellston.

Louise passed away at the Ringgold County Hospital on July 17, 2015, at the age of 72. Preceding her in death were her parents; daughter, Laurie; and two sisters, one in infancy and Vera Jean Mercer. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Larry Sackett of Ellston; son, Randy (wife Jill) Sackett of Winterset; two brothers, Bill "Butch" (wife Renee) Burchett of Ankeny and Duane (wife Margie) Burchett of Lamoni; two sisters, Veva Dean Buell and Joyce Marie Tucker, both of Des Moines; her beloved dog, Murphy; a host nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; and many wonderful friends.

Open viewing from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Family greeting friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22, at Watson Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr, Iowa. Funeral service will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 23, also at the funeral home. A short burial service will take place at Glendale Masonic Cemetery in Des Moines at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Shriners Hospital for Children in Chicago.

Dean & other members of the family So sorry to hear of Louise''s passing. She was in sister Kay''s class and just doesn''t seem right that people of our age should be leaving this old earth behind so soon. We are thinking of all of you with prayers for the days ahead without her. What a beautiful picture.
