Laura May Osborn, daughter of William Lewis & Luella May (MaHaffy) Brant, was born December 21, 1939 at Lincoln, NE. Laura married John Osborn in Enid, Oklahoma. They lived in Atlantic, Iowa and Diagonal, Iowa before moving to Tingley, Iowa in 1968 where they raised their family.
Laura had a big garden and enjoyed canning the produce to feed her family throughout the year. She was a great cook who could make a meal out of nothing. Laura loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Laura also had a deep faith and she loved her Lord. She went to church whenever she could and she enjoyed her church family.
Laura and John enjoyed going to jam sessions in Redding and other places. Laura loved Elvis Presley and heard him sing at a state fair once. They were a perfect couple who did everything together. John died suddenly on January 2, 2008. Laura moved to the nursing home about 3 years ago. Laura went to be with her Lord and family members in heaven on August 6, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John; two sons Jimmie as an infant and Lawrence on April 12, 2014; daughter Margaret Osborn as an infant; and two brothers Billy and Richard Brant.
