Brother, so much to share! We stood the watch on old RMD for four years we stood that watch. Making coffee for the Chiefs mess at O''dark thirty, or launching the small boat for some inspectors to come out, we had the watch. Piping on the 1MC was always a joy, unless it was your turn to man the Flight deck and land that dam 60 for the fortieth time that day, we had the watch. Liberty call, liberty call and we stood that watch too. I proudly raise my pipe to you dear brother Boatswain Mate and piping you ashore this one last time, I have the watch and you have my deepest regards. RIP Boats!

John was not only my friend, he was my brother. He would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. He taught me to be the man I am today. He brought so many diverse groups together and he was the glue of the community. If I never met John then I would probably have never of met my wife. John had helped me through so many of my issues and I wish that there was more I could of done for him. Rest in peace my friend.

My best memories were at the PCE Christmas Party when Ben and I would set at the same table every year with Johnny. Him and my husband were best of friends. Johnny was fun to talk to/with and always made everyone laugh. So saddened by the news he had left us. He will be missed.
