Jenine Vice

Helen Jenine Vice was born on September 19, 1959, in Burlington, Iowa, to George and Shirley (Scott) Vice. She was welcomed by older sister, Peggy. Jenine passed away on April 27, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, after a sudden illness took her life.

Jenine started elementary school in the Blakesburg, Iowa schools. In 1970, the family moved to Mount Ayr and Jenine graduated with the Mount Ayr Class of 1981.

Jenine loved her family and friends. She never knew a stranger and could talk to anyone. She enjoyed her work at Mount Ayr Health Care and Dollar General, which was proven by her dedication, very seldom missing a day and always willing to help out when others could not work.

Bowling, crocheting, playing Bingo and going to the casino were things she enjoyed very much, but her favorite pastime was attending sporting events, music concerts or anything else that her great-nieces and nephews were involved in. Jenine loved family get togethers, and when the kids started arriving, she was always excited to see them. Each niece, nephew, great niece and great nephew has a unique blanket crocheted by Aunt Jenine, with no one blanket like the other.

Jenine was preceded in death by her father, George. Grandparents, Sam and Verdie Vice and Alton and Helen Scott.

Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Shirley and sister, Peggy (Larry) Drake all Mount Ayr. Nieces and nephews Tracy (Shannon) Barnes of Tingley, Terry (Michelle) Henry of Creston and Troy(Jennifer) Henry of Davis City, and Trisha (Aaron) Stevens of Salisbury, Mo. Great nieces and nephews Halsie, Linsie and Kensie Barnes, Trevor, Johnathon, Shayla, and Andrew Henry, Addy, Maggie and Jessalyn Frank and Myrie and Kathan Henry and Riley and Savannah Stevens. As well as extended family and many friends.

A memorial fund has been established in her name to be decided later.

I offer my deepest sympathy and prayers for her loved Family and Friends, . A one of a kind Lady with a heart as big as the outdoors. There was no one that I don''t know of .that didn''t walk away with a smile after she gave them a hard time, and I can''t remember one day that she did not mention her family with a smile and excitement dancing in her heart. Will really Miss her. Rest In Peace My Friend

Heaven truly received an Angel!!!! My arms are around the family during this time of grief. Jenine was my daughter Tena''s babysitter and also my nephews, TJ, Tim, Justin Redding. She was so special to us. We bowled together, crocheted together, played bingo together and just had fun together. I am so sad to hear this. She will always hold a place in all of our hearts. Jenine, you will be missed.

I will really miss her. She was like a big sister that I never had. The first few years the bowling alley was open, she was a god send to me. If it was not for her, i would have probably went crazy. Tuesday nites will never be the same without her, especially during bowling season.

From school kids to adults, our friendship remains. Jenine _ Your heart of gold carried you through life here on earth and now it will remain with you in eternity. You carried yourself well through life - your laughter lit up many a darkened hearts.

We all know death does not discriminate but I know you were taken way too soon and I will miss seeing that huge smile and hearing your chipper voice and always with politeness and courtesy. What a tremendous loss to the community and to the world. You will be missed and while we are missing you here, I will catch a smile you throw me from Heaven now and then. I know you will light up Heaven like you did Earth....Until we meet again Jenine..
