After her husband Edward’s death in 1984, Gloria moved to Depew, New York where she first lived on Jeffrey Street for a few years before moving to Woodland Place Apartments. Gloria was a member of Lancaster Presbyterian Church, Lancaster, New York for over 25 years. She held various positions within the church from Deacon, member of the bell choir, Sunday School teacher, to church librarian, and church gardener.
Due to chronic health conditions Gloria and her family decided a move to Iowa was in her best interest. On December 30th, 2018, Gloria became the newest resident of Tingley, where she shared a home with her niece, Priscilla Alvik and Priscilla’s dog Bella.
Gloria was welcomed to Tingley by many of the residents. She enjoyed the fellowship of new friends at the Senior Meal Program held at the Tingley Community Building three times a week.
During this saddening yet rejoicing period in time please remember Gloria for the loving person she was and her accomplishments here on earth which were many. In a quiet moment at church, or in prayer, in your garden or home – your prayers for her family’s comfort and remembrances of their sister and aunt will be deeply appreciated from their hearts during this difficult time.
Gloria will be cremated and her remains will be interred at the Lancaster Cemetery, in Lancaster, NY at a family plot shared with her husband Edward.

My very early years were spent living with my Grandmother(Janina), Aunt Gloria's Mother. Since she was only 2+ years older than me, we spent considerble time playing childhood games together and became very close. I have always considered Gloria to be more of a big sister than an Aunt. Rest in Peace, Big Sister!! - "Billy"
