Elsie Lorraine Creveling, daughter of Stanley & Fern (Graham) Cregeen, was born at Clearfield, Iowa on August 31, 1939. Elsie graduated from Diagonal High School with the class of 1957. Elsie married LeRoy Giles and to this marriage was born four sons; Tim, Tom, Terry, and Ted. They later parted ways and Elsie married Garey Creveling and to this marriage, a son, Troy, was born.

Elsie had a caring and giving heart and her lifelong work, in addition to raising her sons, was nursing. She graduated from SWICC with an L.P.N. and worked in the nursing profession for 42 years.

Elsie loved playing bingo! She played in various places including the Eagles & the Elks in Creston; and in Clearfield and Greenfield. She loved her cat named Maddy; tending to her plants; and dancing at Caldwell's in Redding, Iowa. Most of all, Elsie loved her family and loved to get together with them. Family time was filled with visiting and jokes; playing of yard games; and eating.

Elsie passed away December 13, 2020 while a resident at Crest Haven Care Center. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Richard Cregeen and Ronnie Cregeen; grandson Dusty Giles; and husband Garey Creveling.

Survivors include her sons Tim (Ellen) Giles of Mount Ayr, IA Tom (Jennifer) Giles of Palm Bay, FL, Terry Giles of Alliance, NE, Ted Giles of Creston, IA, and Troy (Michelle) Creveling of Clarinda, IA; 24 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren; siblings Mary (Joe) McCall of Picher, OK and Dale (Phyllis) Cregeen of Rockford, IL; other relatives and a host of friends.
