Colleen Greenman

Colleen Marie Greenman was born January 11, 1937 to Lyman Laurence Larsen and Corene Elizabeth (Birkeland) Larsen in Roland, Iowa. She graduated from Mount Ayr High School in 1955.

Colleen was united marriage to Ronald Lee Smith and to this union three children were born, Stephen, Susan and Scott. Colleen and Ron later divorced. She worked as the assistant assessor for Ringgold County from January 1974 to December 2000. Colleen later married Roger Greenman and she gained two step-children Kirk and Cindy.

Colleen passed away January 2, 2018 at the Clearview Home in Mount Ayr.

Colleen was preceded in death by her parents; husband Roger in 2004; step granddaughter Aliza Springer. Left to cherish her memory are her children Stephen Smith of Creston, Susan (Doug) Hickman of Mount Ayr and Scott Smith of Highlands Ranch, Col.; step-children Kirk (Laurie) Greenman of Johnston and Cindy Springer of Kellogg; grandchildren Landon (fiancé Alex) Jobe, Lauren (Alex) Lacaeyse, Caylie Hickman and Ryker Hickman; step grandchildren Chance (Wendy) Greenman, Kelsey Greenman, Jessica (Billy) Iverson, Rachael (Sean) McDermott and Jacob (fiancé Taylor Graff) Springer; great-granddaughter Haygen Lacaeyse; step great-grandchildren Tayler Springer, Nora Springer, Carlee McDermott, Sofia McDermott, Kinser McDermott and McKynna McDermott; brother Loren (Beverly) Larsen of Fort Myers, Florida; a few nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.

Burial: Rose Hill Cemetery - Mount Ayr

I have so many happy memories of Colleen. We worked together 24 years & became close friends. We shared everything with each other & remained close. Colleen was a beautful lady inside & out. Thinking about all the family & how much they loved her. She is at peace now.
